Italy tours

Rimini, Sicily or Sardinia: each beach base has its own everyday routes. Leave time for both the sea and a few places nearby. Check transport and included services for the particular offer.

Ideas for your trip

Italy: try a smaller scale

One valley, small town or city neighbourhood can be more rewarding than a long list of stops. Pick a theme that makes you want to stay a little longer.

Places for another story

Open a place that catches your eye to discover its character and ideas for your trip.

Places: 3
Puglia: the Itria Valley

The Itria Valley brings together olive groves, white buildings and trulli. Exploring them need not stop at Alberobello: Cisternino and Locorotondo also belong to this story.

Umbria: hillside Spello

Spello stands on an outcrop of Mount Subasio. Sandstone houses and medieval lanes sit alongside traces of the Roman town, including gates and mosaics.

Trieste: a city beside the gulf

Trieste combines a waterfront with neoclassical architecture. Piazza Unità d’Italia faces the sea, while historic cafés add a literary theme to exploring the city.

A day you will want to remember

Leave room for something new: a walk, time on the water, local stories and small discoveries.

Trulli beyond Alberobello

Choose Cisternino or Locorotondo as a separate Itria Valley stop. Compare the buildings with Alberobello, without turning the day into a race through every town.

Spello’s Roman gates and mosaics

Look for the ancient town gates and the Villa of Mosaics. Choose one site to explore properly and check its opening hours before visiting.

A square, the waterfront and a café

Start at Piazza Unità d’Italia, leave time for the waterfront and choose a historic café. Use the walk to notice the city, rather than only photographing Miramare Castle.

Mainland coast or an island?

A resort helps define the setting for your holiday. The actual hotel, its shore and the offer for your dates matter for the trip.

Rimini and the Emilia-Romagna Riviera

An Adriatic coast with beach resorts including Rimini and Riccione.

The hotel surroundings, beach services and distances to planned activities.

Sicily

An island setting for a seaside stay with opportunities to explore the surrounding area.

The particular coast, arrival airport and distances; the island name is not enough.

Sardinia

An island with varied coastal locations for beach holidays.

Access to your chosen beach, transport and the accommodation location.

Picture your day on holiday

Wake up by the sea, linger over breakfast or head straight out to explore? Tell us how you like to spend a holiday. These few details will help you choose a stay that feels right for you.

Beach

Do you love a long swim or a walk along the shore? If children are coming, tell us what kind of water access works for them.

Before choosing a hotel, check the walk from your room to the water, including any steps, road or jetty. A beach photo may leave that part out.

Room

Does one person turn in early while another likes to read? A separate bedroom or the right bed layout can make the stay easier for everyone.

Save the exact name of the room you like, then check its beds and where everyone will sleep. An extra bed may be different from the main ones.

Meals

Days by the pool and long days out call for different meal plans. Start with how much time you want to spend at the hotel.

Check serving times and which drinks your plan includes. For a full-day outing, think ahead about where you will have breakfast and lunch.

Travellers and price

Tell us who is travelling, the children’s ages and the amount you would like to spend for everyone. If your dates are flexible, add that too.

When comparing options, look beyond the room. Check whether transport, luggage and transfers are included, and which costs you will pay during the trip.

Choose the beach, then plan your outings

Compare daily water access, beach facilities and the room you need. For visits to neighbouring towns, check transport from your actual resort. An island or region is a starting point, rather than a complete travel plan.

  • The mainland or a particular island area
  • Your daily route to the beach
  • Outings within a comfortable distance
  • Beach services and full package inclusions

Check accommodation and beach arrangements

Match meals to the number of days you plan to spend away from the hotel. Check included beach services, flights, baggage, transfers and any mandatory local supplements in the offer. These can affect the total comparison.

Questions before you choose

Can I include exploring in a beach holiday?

Yes, as part of your own plans. Establish distances and transport, and separate included visits from tickets and outings that cost extra.

What should I include in the total tour cost?

Use the same party, dates, room and meals. A per-person price differs from the total for everyone. Allow for included services and mandatory supplements.

Can I start without exact dates?

Yes. Write down your travel preferences and review them. Then click “Add contact details”, enter your phone number or email and send your enquiry. Check dates and other trip details before sending.

Where can I find entry document requirements?

Before travelling, check the destination, transit countries and carrier requirements for your documents and dates. Rules can change, so check them again closer to departure.
