Spain tours

Costa Brava, Costa Dorada or Costa del Sol can be a base for beach days and outings of your own. Mark places you want to visit and allow for travel time. Your holiday need not be spent entirely on journeys.

Ideas for your trip

Spain: three different changes of scene

Choose one region as the basis for your trip rather than trying to combine all these places. Then decide whether you prefer city details, the coast or an unusual landscape.

Places for another story

Open a place that catches your eye to discover its character and ideas for your trip.

Places: 3
Asturias: the north and city discoveries

Asturias combines green valleys, seaside towns and pre-Romanesque architecture. Oviedo, Gijón and Avilés offer different themes for a city walk.

Lanzarote: volcanic landscapes

On Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Timanfaya National Park reveals a landscape shaped by volcanic eruptions. Lava and rock formations carry red, yellow and orange tones.

Extremadura: the old quarters of Cáceres

Cáceres in Extremadura has cobbled streets, mansions and Renaissance palaces. Take time to explore the old quarter beyond a view from its main square.

A day you will want to remember

Leave room for something new: a walk, time on the water, local stories and small discoveries.

Gijón or Oviedo: choose one theme

In Gijón, focus on the seafront promenade and old fishing quarter. Oviedo offers a different theme: its old town and pre-Romanesque churches outside the city.

Look more closely at Timanfaya

Make volcanic shapes and colours the focus of your outing. Note the Mancha Blanca visitor centre in your plan and check current visiting arrangements on the park’s official website.

From Plaza Mayor into the old quarter

Mark the Arco de la Estrella and Bujaco Tower, then leave time for old Cáceres’s streets. The Judería Vieja quarter offers another setting, with whitewashed houses.

Which coast is your starting point?

A resort helps define the setting for your holiday. The actual hotel, its shore and the offer for your dates matter for the trip.

Bays, beaches and coastal towns in the province of Girona.

Access to your chosen bay and transport to the towns you want to visit.

Costa Dorada

The coast of Tarragona province, with sandy beaches.

The beach beside your hotel and distances to promenades and planned activities.

Costa del Sol

A stretch of coast including places such as Málaga and Marbella.

Your actual town, arrival airport and travel time between planned stops.

Picture your day on holiday

Wake up by the sea, linger over breakfast or head straight out to explore? Tell us how you like to spend a holiday. These few details will help you choose a stay that feels right for you.

Beach

Do you love a long swim or a walk along the shore? If children are coming, tell us what kind of water access works for them.

Before choosing a hotel, check the walk from your room to the water, including any steps, road or jetty. A beach photo may leave that part out.

Room

Does one person turn in early while another likes to read? A separate bedroom or the right bed layout can make the stay easier for everyone.

Save the exact name of the room you like, then check its beds and where everyone will sleep. An extra bed may be different from the main ones.

Meals

Days by the pool and long days out call for different meal plans. Start with how much time you want to spend at the hotel.

Check serving times and which drinks your plan includes. For a full-day outing, think ahead about where you will have breakfast and lunch.

Travellers and price

Tell us who is travelling, the children’s ages and the amount you would like to spend for everyone. If your dates are flexible, add that too.

When comparing options, look beyond the room. Check whether transport, luggage and transfers are included, and which costs you will pay during the trip.

Build your holiday around a useful base

Pick a few places you really want to see and compare them with the hotel location. Pavements, transport and the journey back matter for daily outings. A broad coastal name does not mean that all its towns are nearby.

  • The beach and access to it
  • A few priority places to explore
  • Convenient transport from the hotel
  • Meals and costs outside the package

Count your beach days and days out

This helps you choose meals and identify outings paid for separately. Check flights, transfers, baggage, beach services and any mandatory supplements in the actual offer’s terms.

Questions before you choose

Should I choose only by distance to the sea?

Transport and travel times to your chosen places matter for outings. A hotel beside the beach you prefer may not be a convenient base for daily trips.

What should I include in the total tour cost?

Use the same party, dates, room and meals. A per-person price differs from the total for everyone. Allow for included services and mandatory supplements.

Can I start without exact dates?

Yes. Write down your travel preferences and review them. Then click “Add contact details”, enter your phone number or email and send your enquiry. Check dates and other trip details before sending.

Where can I find entry document requirements?

Before travelling, check the destination, transit countries and carrier requirements for your documents and dates. Rules can change, so check them again closer to departure.
